Void monsters drop tiered stones directly:

Multiple Battlepass tiers reward Star Inlay Stones in stacks of 2, 4, 5, or 10. Free track and paid track both have stones.
The weekend daily chest grants 2 Star Inlay Stones + 2 Gem and Star Extractors per claim. Log in on weekends to claim.
Non-tier-eligible gear ignores the Star Inlay Stone. Only the custom endgame sets above accept the upgrade.
